If you loved CHAUVET'S conversion of the Derby X to LED illumination, we have good news: The Company has added two new derby effects to its X series line of intelligent LED lights, bringing the total of revamped derby classics to three.

Like the Derby X, the all new Double Derby X and Kinta X offer the advantages that come with LED technology: longer life span, no more bulb changes, easier maintenance, no duty cycle, and enhanced portability. In fact, at 4 or 6 pounds, each of these fixtures weighs less than most laptop computers.

Impressive - yes, but even more so is the quality of their performance. Each of these fixtures is a self-contained DJ workhorse with outstanding room coverage. With a 132, 135 and 96-degree coverage angle respectively, the Derby X, Double Derby X and Kinta X will blanket your largest venues with crisp red, green and blue beams and patterns.

The Double Derby X keeps the most popular features of rotating and crisscrossing multicolored beams of its halogen predecessor but with a sound-activation feature that can now be triggered via DMX. Blackout is also controllable via DMX. Three 3-watt high powered red, green and blue LEDs ensure striking beams and vivid patterns, a big plus where the use of fog is not an option. Strobing is built into the automated programs.

The Kinta X, which also operates with three high powered 3-watt LEDs, is a step up from the Double Derby X with more lenses and thus more beams of light -- 60 beams in all. Both fixtures offer DMX control over rotation and back and forth movements as well as automated and sound-activated programs that are also accessible via master/slave.

DJs can daisy chain up to 37 Double Derby X and/or Kinta X units on a 120V circuit because the fixtures draw only 24 watts. The Derby X comes with 90 LEDs that are grouped in six individually controllable clusters for awesome creative movements and static effects in multicolored or solid colored patterns of red, blue or green. We love the domino effect of red, green or blue dots positioned in an X pattern along the floor. Project the fixture upward for a spectacular peacock tail-like display. Up to 27 Derby X lights can be daisy chained on a 120V circuit and up to 100 can be put on the same circuit breaker.

These versatile fixtures can go from home parties to banquet halls because they can automatically adjust to voltages ranging from 100V to 240V due to an autosensing feature that automatically adapts the units to the voltage supplied.

Thanks to "green" LED technology these luminaires generate very little heat making duty cycles a thing of the past. And they can go were heat must be avoided and energy consumption minimized.

All three units can be stacked using X-brackets (included free of charge with the purchase of one unit). CHAUVET® preserved all the best features of its derby line, but gave DJs more of what they want - value, innovation and performance.
