Powered speaker systems are the ultimate answer for mobile jocks because they are versatile and give you maximum flexibility. Up the stairs, in a garden or even in the gym, Gemini’s DJ engineers have created the mix you are going to love. Constructed of top grade ABS molded plastic, the new Gemini GX series comes in four different configurations that will give you the sound you expect, in a weight you can move and at a price you can afford.

Available as powered or unpowered (in case you already have an amplifier), they come in 12½ or 15½ models. All Gemini GX series speakers feature aluminum die-cast woofer speaker baskets (not flimsy stamp-frame woofers) for deeper bass with less distortion. Their high frequency horns feature titanium diaphragms for maximum power handling, clarity and voice articulation.

The GX-450 is the most popular for mobile applications (since 15½ speakers move more air and create stronger bass). On the back of it, Gemini integrates a very hefty 300 watt RMS power amplifier/mixer combination (200 watts RMS on the 12½ GX-350). You have the option of directly plugging two balanced XLR mics (with individual volume controls) into the cabinet (one mic on the GX-350), as well as an individual pair of stereo line inputs (with volume control) for a CD, cassette or karaoke player. A balanced XLR line input also lets you connect with the output of your DJ mixer. Master bass and treble controls help you fine-tune your sound to the room acoustics. An extra XLR output lets you cascade your speaker signal to another cabinet. If you don’t like balanced connections, there are also 1/4½ ins and outs.

For users who need a powered floor monitor, Gemini supplies a pair of floor adapters that allow the system to be used on its side for powered monitor applications. The GX series speakers even come with lightweight protective covers to keep them looking good and completely dry (at no additional charge).
