Instant Digital DJing
Currently available with the SynchroScience Conectiv USB audio interface, Torq is a dual-platform DJ application that allows users to beat-match, transpose, mix and cue a variety of digital audio file formats, including MP3, AIFF, WAV, WMA and AAC, as well as record an entire DJ set for podcasting, posting online and more. Additionally, users can sample, loop and remix tracks in real time as well save and recall complex effect and routing settings. SynchroScience hardware.
Torq includes two virtual decks where users can load, cue and play tracks as well as adjust tempo and key in real-time. The program includes powerful time-stretching and pitch-shifting algorithms, and it will even automatically sync the playback of the two virtual decks as soon as a user loads the files. There is a robust mixer section with independent volume and EQ controls for each deck, a crossfader, as well as headphone and master volume controls. And upon installation, Torq organizes all available digital audio of digital files (including iTunes) into a quickly searchable database.

For even more creative possibilities, Torq includes a number of remix-centric features. Much like standard DAWs, Torq supports optional VST plug-in effects, and the output of Torq can be sent to any ReWire-compatible DAW like Pro Tools M-Powered or Ableton Live for even more remixing options.

The Science of Control
Torq can be controlled via mouse, keyboard, MIDI controller, or SynchroScience control vinyl discs/CDs, making it easily the most flexible and easy-to-use DJ application around. The SynchroScience control vinyl discs/CDs allow users to control the digital files in Torq with traditional turntables or DJ CD players.

M-Audio MIDI controllers give you even more hands-on access to parameters in Torq. The Trigger Finger with its 16 MIDI assignable pads is perfectly suited to work with the 16-cell performance sampler within Torq, while the X-Session Pro delivers the look and feel of a DJ mixer while providing controls for channel volume, EQ, crossfader and more.

The Plug-and-Play Performance Rig
Conectiv is the world’s first 4 x 4 USB audio interface designed expressly for live performance. With two pairs of switchable RCA phono/line level inputs, a _” mic input, two sets of stereo RCA outputs and easy USB connectivity, Conectiv and Torq can turn any compatible Mac or PC into a powerful DJ rig. Conectiv can output audio as high as +10dBV (the same as other professional DJ products) while delivering ultra-low-latency operation on both Mac and PC through the use of industry-standard CoreAudio and ASIO drivers. The unit is also compatible with other third-party DJ and DAW applications.
