I've owned Technics SL-1200s before and these by far, by looks and performance has come the closest. You actually get more than the normal 1200 offers. + and - 20 % pitch range, 33, 45, and 78 rpms. Forward and Reverse button, the tradition S-shaped tone arm, target light cover for accidental shut offs, 45 adapter, super high torque motor and it's a stereo turntable so no need for ground cables! These came with ATPN-2 cartridges pre-mounted on head shells and I have to say, these perform pretty well for even the basic scratches and mixing. 5/5
I first became interested in this turntable for its similar appearance to the Technic 1200 but after its first use to DJ a Superbowl Party I was pleased to discover while mixin', cuttin', and scratchin' that it performed virtually the same. The only thing I noticed is that it may not start/stop on a dime like a 1200 but it's almost not even noticeable so it's good enough for what I do and for the money you save it's well worth it.
